Between Saturday and Sunday, EMPD officers from Brakpan, Tsakane, Benoni, Duduza, KwaThema, Springs and Kingsway arrested 36 offenders in Brakpan, KwaThema and Springs for driving under the influence.
Thirty-five motorists, both male and female, between the ages of 28 and 53, were caught intoxicated behind the steering wheel at various locations in Brakpan, Springs and KwaThema.
They were charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/being intoxicated.
In another operation, 45 male and female motorists, between the ages of 32 and 50, were arrested after they were stopped and breathalysed in the Tsakane area.

The roving roadblocks took place between 6pm on Sunday and 2am on Monday.
Apprehended suspects were taken to the Tsakane Police Station and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/being intoxicated.
