Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A truck was stolen during a robbery at a company along Neutron Road in Vulcania during the early hours of the morning.

Two men gained access to the premises around 1am and held the security guards at gunpoint.

The guards were robbed of their cellphones.

After loading it with undisclosed goods, the robbers drove off in a white JMC truck belonging to the company.

* Tools and bicycles were stolen from an address along Moepel Street in Dalpark.

• Saturday – Two women were attacked and robbed while travelling by taxi.

The pair boarded the white Toyota Quantum with three male occupants at the corner of Kitzinger Avenue and Station Road around 6.30pm.

As they travelled towards Springs, the women were attacked by two of the men, who threatened to kill them.

One of the woman was robbed of her handbag, which contained her cellphone and purse.

She was dropped off in a veld and the taxi drove off with the other victim.

* A white Ford Ranger bakkie was stolen from Carnival City.

• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.

• Drunk driving: 2
