According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (June 10 to 11):

Cases reported:

• Business burglary: 1

• Using motor vehicle without owner’s consent: 1
• Tampering with infrastructure: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 3
• Fraud: 2
• Shoplifting: 1
• Robbery with firearm: 1

Arrests:

• Theft: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Warrant of arrest: 6
• Theft and tampering with infrastructure: 1

Armed robbery:

• A pizza delivery man on a motorcycle was robbed at gunpoint by three men yesterday (Monday).

A local eatery received an order for pizzas to be delivered to an address along Namaqua Street in Dalpark Extension Six.

The delivery man arrived at the house around 5pm, but a woman at the property told him she did not place the order.

He then phoned the customer who ordered the pizzas and the man told him to meet him around the corner.

As he approached, the victim saw three men and pulled over.

The trio pointed guns at the victim and searched him, taking his wallet and cellphone.

They also took the pizzas, four cold drinks and some cash.

Burglary:

• 16th Avenue, Witpoortjie (business).

The break-in took place on Saturday.

Stolen: An aircon and some tools.
