EMPD nabs suspected drug dealers

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested three suspected drug dealers in Brakpan Central on Saturday morning.

According to EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, the members were patrolling the area and noticed three suspicious-looking men in Kingsway Avenue.

After the men were searched, seven ziplock bags of Khat, one crack pipe, and three ziplock bags of crystal methamphetamine, valued at R2 500, were found in their possession. The members also confiscated R550 in cash.

The trio, between the ages of 31 and 42, were taken to the Brakpan Police Station and charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.

They are expected to appear in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court soon.
