Muriel Brand athletes impress at championships

Athletes from Muriel Brand School brought back an impressive haul of medals.

Athletes from Muriel Brand School recently participated in the 2019 Toyota National Championships for the Physically Disabled.

The school is incredibly proud of the athletes, who brought back an impressive haul of medals:

• Khumo Banyatsang: silver for 100m and shot-put, and gold for long jump and discus.

• Chane Brink: bronze for shot-put and discus, and silver for javelin.

• Andiswa Galako: bronze for 100m and shot-put, gold for discus and silver for long jump.

• Nikita Janse van Vuuren: bronze for shot-put and long jump, and silver for discus. She placed fourth in the 100m event.

• Thato Mthembu: gold for 100m, 200m and long jump.

• Mpumi Ngozo: silver for shot-put and 100m, and gold for discus and long jump.

• Motheti Ntuping: bronze for long jump. She placed fifth in the 100m event and fourth in shot-put.

• Tiffany Olckers: gold for shot-put, 100m, javelin and long jump.

• Gift Shiburi: silver for shot-put and discus.
