Going colourful for Cansa

Proceeds go towards funding the care and support programmes that Cansa offers.

Visitors to Carnival City over the weekend were able to show their support for the 16th annual Cansa Shavathon.

Volunteers were stationed at the casino entrance where supporters could have their hair cut, shaved off, sprayed or simply make a donation.

One of the most-widely supported of charity events in South Africa, this annual campaign was started in order to provide a place for people to go and show solidarity with others affected by cancer and help generate funds in doing so.

Proceeds go towards funding the care and support programmes that Cansa offers, mainly rendered at Cansa Care Centres which deliver care and support programmes to those who are suffering from this awful disease.

Cansa relies solely on the goodwill of individuals, government and corporate partners to support projects such as the Shavathon to care for patients with cancer.
