The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (February 20 to 21):

House robbery:

• Tablets, cameras and other valuables were stolen during a house robbery in Dalpark Extension 11 yesterday (Wednesday).

Three men confronted the homeowner and her helper in the Louis Leipoldt Street residence at 10.30am.

The victims were threatened with a gun and told to lie on the floor.

The robbers made their getaway in a white Volkswagen Polo.

• A house robbery took place at an address along Lootsberg Street in Helderwyk Estate last night.

Three men gained access to the house at 7.45pm and held the family and their visitors at gunpoint.

The robbers helped themselves to cash, a digital video recorder, car keys and house keys.

Attempted murder:

• The occupants of a white Toyota Hilux bakkie were shot at along the N17 highway near Dalpark last night.

While travelling in the fast lane at about 8.10pm, the Hilux driver flashed his lights at a slower moving car ahead of him.

The driver of the unidentified silver car did not immediately change lanes, but eventually moved over.

As the Hilux driver passed the silver car, a bullet struck his back window, shattering it.

The man and his passenger escaped unharmed.

Robbery with firearm:

• A man was robbed at gunpoint by four men along Brodigan Street in Dalview.

The incident took place yesterday around 12.40pm.

The robbers were travelling in a white Ford Fiesta and fled with the victim’s cash and other belongings.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• On Tuesday, a car parked at an address along Boven Avenue in Leachville was broken into.

The vehicle’s battery was stolen and an attempt was made to steal the sound system.
