Children from local pre-schools participated in fun activities and had a ball on the sports field.

Gracious Mohapi (left), Monica Willemse, Clinton Halanze and Khumo Makadu are from Amanda Crèche, which was the winning pre-school on the day. The crèche will compete in the grand finale of the games on April 6 in Tembisa.

The Eastern area round of the Ekurhuleni Kiddies Games took place on Tuesday morning at Charl Baard Stadium in Brakpan.

Having loads of fun during the sack race is Lichena Lidhoka from Daolarm Pre-School.

Katlego Magasane from Sithand`Izingane Care Project showed off his athletic prowess during the ball throwing event.

The little athletes received plenty of encouragement from their team mates.

Activities in this year’s games included ball throwing, ball hopping, ring throwing, ball kicking, ball dribbling, cycling and balancing.
