The 27-year-old was also found to be an illegal immigrant.

He was nabbed along Kitzinger Avenue by EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members on Wednesday afternoon, last week, and was found in possession of two expired asylum seekers documents (both expired in 2017), one ziplock bag of khat, one ziplock bag containing crystal meth, one packet of dagga, 11 mandrax tablets and R1 500 cash.

“Drugs in his possession were estimated at R6 000.

“He tried to buy his way out by producing R1 500 to officers for his freedom, before he was handcuffed and taken to the Brakpan Police Station.”
