Hijacking:

• The driver of white Isuzu bakkie was robbed and assaulted by a gang of would-be hijackers on Wednesday.

The victim was making deliveries around 11.45am when two gunmen climbed into the vehicle while he was stationary at the corner of Airport Drive and Heidelberg Road, near Mall@Carnival.

They drove him to a secluded area where they were joined by four accomplices travelling in a grey Nissan Juke.

The victim was assaulted and robbed of his personal belongings including his cellphone and lunchbox.

He was tied up and locked in the back of the bakkie after the men discovered the vehicle had a tracking device.

Burglary:

• Etosha Avenue, Dalpark.

The residence was broken into yesterday (Thursday).

Stolen. A TV, gaming console and clothes.

• Hamilton Avenue.

The home was burgled on Wednesday.

Stolen: A TV and electric tools.

• Joubert Street, Brenthurst.

The break-in took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: Various household items.

• Beaumont Street, Sonneveld.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV and kitchen appliances.

• Middle Road, Sonneveld (business).

The premises were burgled on Tuesday.

Stolen: A TV, vacuum cleaner and other valuables.

Theft out of/from motor vehicle:

• On Saturday, a battery was stolen from a truck parked at an address along Lemmer Road in Vulcania.

• A car parked along Athlone Avenue in Dalview was broken into on Wednesday and a laptop was stolen.

• On Wednesday, a laptop was stolen from a car in Springs Road, Rand Collieries.
