Adopt an animal from the Brakpan SPCA.
To adopt from the Brakpan SPCA is not complicated and can be explained in a few easy steps:
• Choose an animal suitable to your home and family – love at first sight!
• Complete the application form and submit a copy of your ID and proof of residence.
• Staff members of the Brakpan SPCA will inspect your application and contact you for a home inspection should you meet the requirements.
• The adoption process may take up to seven working days to complete as cruelty complaints take preference over pre-home inspections.
• On approval of the application and pre-home inspection, the adoption fee is payable and the animal will be booked for sterilisation as soon as the vet has space available to assist.
• Take your new fur baby home to love and cuddle.
• Adoption fees for dogs, up to six months is R1 000, for dogs over six months the total cost is R900 and for cats a fee of R650 is payable. This includes sterilisation, vaccination and deworming (also includes microchips for dogs, cats at an additional R100).
• The SPCA reserves the right to reject or refuse an application on merit.
