The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (November 12 to 13):

Cases reported:

• Theft: 1
• Residential burglary: 3
• Fraud: 2
• Driving motor vehicle without a licence: 1
• Common assault: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Robbery with firearm: 2 (one Jet Park case)

Arrests:

• Rape and kidnapping: 1
• Residential burglary and possession of housebreaking implements: 1
• Shoplifting: 1

Armed robbery:

• A man was robbed of a large sum of cash by two gunman outside a Prince George Avenue gambling shop yesterday (Monday).

The robbers confronted the victim as he was about to enter the establishment around 2pm and made their getaway in a white BMW X6.

Burglary:

• Athlone Avenue, Larrendale.

The home was burgled on Sunday.

Stolen: Kitchen appliances.

• Gladstone Avenue.

The break-in took place yesterday.

A suspect was arrested on the scene and the stolen items, which included a cellphone, were recovered.

• Hamilton Avenue.

The burglary was discovered on Sunday.

Stolen: Tools and gardening equipment.
