Business robbery:

• A 27-year-old man was arrested after a jewellery store in Mall@Carnival was robbed yesterday (Thursday).

The robber confronted a female store employee at gunpoint as she arrived for work at around 8am.

He forced her inside the store and demanded that she hand over the contents of the safe to him.

The store’s alarm sounded as the man left with a bag of stolen jewellery and he was apprehended by security officers.

A toy firearm was found in his possession.

Burglary:

• Athlone Avenue, Dalview (business).

The burglary took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: Cash, kitchen appliances and other valuables.

• Kitzinger Avenue.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, gaming console, microwave, clothes, jewellery and cellphones.
