Charity shop needs unwanted goods

The shop is situated at the corner of Prince George Avenue and Kitzinger Street (133 Kitzinger Street).

Hospice East Rand opened the doors to its Brakpan charity shop more than two years ago and it has become a popular place for bargain hunters.

Hospice East Rand is a community-based organisation whose mission is to provide high-quality holistic and non-discriminatory care for the terminally ill and their families.

Donation of goods for resale is an invaluable way of helping hospice to maintain its high standard of care and charity shops form the backbone of the continuous income required.

“We are planning to have a big sale on November 28 and we are inviting the public to visit our store on the day,” said shop manager, Gayle Rousseau.

Rossouw also urged the public to donate unwanted goods. Donations required for the shop include pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, linen, curtains, ornaments, men’s, ladies’ and children’s clothing, toys, furniture, electrical appliances in working order, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs and CDs.
