Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:

• Friday – Five men robbed a Station Road shop at gunpoint.

The gang entered the shop at around 11.15am and threatened staff members.

They fled with cash and cellphones.

* Gardening equipment, paint, tools and other valuables were stolen from an address along Main Reef Road in Anzac.

• Saturday – A home in Alliance Street, Withok Estates, was burgled of kitchen appliances, shoes, bedding and other household items.

* A red Toyota Corolla was stolen from Venter Street in Dalview.

• Sunday – A house robbery took place at an address along Gauteus Street in Minnebron.

Three men gained access to the house at around 3.20am and confronted the female resident.

The robbers fled with electronics and a pair of boots.

* Gate motors, a toolbox and a stove were stolen from an address along Escombe Avenue.

* Cash and cellphones were stolen during a robbery at a clothing store in Mall@Carnival.

The incident took place at about 3pm when an unknown number of men, one of whom was armed a gun, held up staff members.
