Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A handbag containing a bank card, two ID books and some cash was stolen from an address along Bloomberg Street in Minnebron.

* Tyres and mag wheels were stolen from a car parked along Mitchell Crescent in Brenthurst.

• Saturday – A man was robbed of his belt, cellphone and money by a lone thief.

The incident took place at around 3am along Hamilton Avenue.

* A truck parked along Escombe Avenue was stripped of its wheels.

* Two homes in Athlone Avenue, Dalpark, were broken into.

Various goods were stolen, including TVs, kitchen appliances, a home theatre system and a gaming console.

* An address in Plain Street, Kenleaf, was burgled of a TV, DVD player, computer, liquor and other goods.

* Money and a cash register were stolen from a Victoria Avenue business.

* A Nissan NP200 bakkie was stolen from Victoria Avenue.

• Sunday – Two break-ins took place.

Liquor, electronics, groceries and other household items were stolen from homes along Morris Place in Kenleaf and Rooihout Street in Dalpark.

* Three men robbed a Cavendish Street shop at gunpoint.

The trio entered the shop at around 3.30pm and threatened staff members and customers.

They fled with cash and cigarettes.

Other cases reported:

• Thursday – A radio was stolen from a vehicle parked along Lemmer Road in Vulcania.

* A home in Jacaranda Avenue, Leachville, was burgled of a TV, CD player and other valuables.

* Various tools, a generator and several bicycles were stolen from a residence in Hope Street, Anzac.

• Possession of drugs: 1
• Speeding: 8
• Possession of stolen motor vehicle: 1
• Malicious damage to property: 1
• Possession of copper cable: 3
