The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (September 27 to 28):

Hijacking:

• The female driver of white BMW 5 Series was robbed of her vehicle at the corner of Heidelberg Road (R23) and Elsburg Road (R554), near Carnival City, on Wednesday evening by men posing as metro police officers.

The incident took place at about 7.20pm when the victim noticed a car with flashing blue lights behind her.

She pulled over, thinking it was the police, and was approached by two men, one of whom attacked her and forced her into the backseat.

Both men then climbed into the car and drove off with the victim.

After telling the hijackers the pin number for her bank card, the victim was dropped off at a secluded location.

Her car was later recovered in Katlehong and a large sum of money had been withdrawn from her bank account.

Armed robbery:

• A schoolboy was robbed at knifepoint by two men at the corner of Station Road and Stoffberg Avenue yesterday (Thursday).

The robbers confronted the victim he was walking home at 2.30pm and fled with his cellphone and wallet.

Burglary:

• Morris Place, Kenleaf.

The home was burgled yesterday (Thursday).

Stolen: A TV, gaming console, laptop and digital camera.
