The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (September 25 to 26):

Arrests:

• Assault on police officer: 1
• Theft: 1
• Housebreaking and theft: 2

House robbery:

• A house robbery took place at an address along Gamkarivier Crescent in Dalpark last night (Tuesday).

A man armed with a gun confronted the resident and his friend when they arrived at the property at about 7.40pm.

The victims were forced inside the house at gunpoint and told to lie down.

Two other robbers entered the house and began ransacking it, taking cellphones and electronics.

It is believed there were children in the house during the incident.

The robbers fled after locking the resident and his friend in a bathroom.

Burglary:

• Main Reef Road, Anzac (Plastic City informal settlement).

The break-in took place yesterday.

Stolen: Shoes, clothes and a 6kg gas bottle.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A silver Volkswagen Polo was stolen from Witpoortjie Road in Rand Collieries on Monday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• On Monday, tyres were stolen from a truck parked at an address along Koot Street in Withok Estates.
