Guns and ammo found in flat
A search yielded a pistol and shotgun, as well hundreds of rounds of different types of ammunition.
A 28-year-old man was arrested by the Brakpan Trio Task Team last week following the discovery of two firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his possession.
The team received a tip-off about the firearms and proceeded to a flat along Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday evening.
“On arrival they found a man who introduced himself and gave the officers permission to search the residence,” said Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan SAPS.

“In one of the rooms, police found the 28-year-old male.
“A search of his room yielded a pistol and shotgun, as well as over 350 rounds of different types of ammunition.”
The man was detained for unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
