• Friday – A man was attacked with a hammer during a robbery at his Voortrekker Road shop.
Two men, one of whom was carrying a refuse bag, entered the shop at about 6am pretending to be customers.
They approached the till and one of the men pulled a claw hammer from the bag.
He handed the bag to the victim with the instruction to fill it with cigarettes.
The victim initially refused, but was hit on the hand with the hammer.
The robbers fled the shop with cigarettes valued at about R800.
One suspect was apprehended by the victim and community members shortly afterwards.

* Three break-ins were reported.
Jewellery, TVs and other household items were stolen from homes along Elliot Road, Stoffberg Avenue and Livingstone Avenue.
A red and black Kawasaki motorbike was stolen from the Ellliot Road address.
* A laptop and GPS device were stolen from a car parked in Hosking Street, Brenthurst.
• Saturday – The driver of a black Nissan Navara was assaulted and robbed in an apparent road rage incident in Leachville.
The victim was travelling along New Kleinfontein Road at around 11.10pm when a white Toyota Corolla pulled in front of him and stopped.
The victim was forced to pull over and three men and two women alighted the Corolla and approached him.
The group accused the victim of driving “badly” and dragged him from the car.
He was punched in the face and robbed of his car keys.
The group then returned to the Corolla and drove off.
* A handbag was stolen from a car parked along Tafelboom Street in Dalpark.
• Sunday – No priority cases were reported at the time of publication.
Other cases:
• Thursday – A black Kawasaki ZX-10R was stolen from an address along Gerrit Maritz Avenue in Dalview.
* A TV, cellphone, sound system, laptops and liquor were stolen from a home in Collins Street, Brenthurst.
