Armed robbery:

• A man was assaulted and robbed in Leachville during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The victim and a male friend were walking to Dalpark Extension Six from Tamboville at around 1.30am when they were confronted by two men along Tigerwood Avenue.

One of the men is known to the victim.

He accused the victim of reporting him to police and attacked him.

The victim – whose friend had since run off – was struck in the face and the man then attempted to hit him with a beer bottle, but missed.

He took the victim’s bag, which contained a camera, and fled with his companion.

• A man was robbed of his belongings by two men in Brenthurst yesterday (Thursday).

The victim was approached by the pair as he was walking along Olga Street at about 4.30pm.

They threatened him with a knife and made off with his cellphone and wallet.

Burglary:

• New Kleinfontein Road, Leachville.

The home was broken into yesterday, but nothing was stolen.
