The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (May 2 to 3):

Arrests:

• Shoplifting: 1

Business robbery:

• Staff at a church near the CBD were robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning (Wednesday).

Three robbers entered the church office at around 8.30am and demanded the safe keys from a woman who was preparing staff wages.

She was threated with a gun and told to lie on the floor.

The woman and staff members were tied up and the robbers fled with a cellphone and a couple of hundred rand.

Burglary:

• Colliery Road, Sunair Park.

The break-in took place on Friday.

Stolen: A laptop.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• Two motorcycles – a red and black Suzuki VS 400 Intruder and a white Big Boy TSR250 – were stolen from an address along Van der Merwe Street in Brenthurst on Tuesday.

• A white Tata Ace bakkie was stolen from Louw Street in Dalpark on Friday.
