Friends remember Brakpan biker

The Brenthurst resident, known fondly as Ferdi to family and friends, worked at Kimberly Clarke.

The biking fraternity is mourning the death of Ferdinand Fouche (48), an avid biker who died on January 28 following a collision along Denne Road in Witpoort Estates.

He joined The Mutts Motorcycle Club in 2012 and was later promoted to vice-president of the group.

In 2017 he also joined the SA Kawasaki 1400 Owners Club where he made more friends and embarked on regular runs with fellow members.

He was returning home from a run to Vanderbijlpark when the fatal accident occurred.

The SA Kawasaki 1400 Owners Club arranged a memorial run in honour of Fouche on Sunday.

Friends and family gathered at the Fireplace Roadhouse in Dalpark and proceeded to the scene of the accident, where those present were given an opportunity to share their memories of Fouche.

“He will be fondly remembered as a great person with an uplifting spirit,” said friend Wynand Prinsloo.

A funeral service for Fouche was held in Springs on Monday.

A memorial run in honour of Ferdinand Fouche was held by SA Kawasaki 1400 Owners Club on Sunday.

He is survived by his fiancée Bernice Fourie, his two children Alicia (18) and Jayden (14) and their mom Yolanda Fouche.
