The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (February 7 to 8):

Armed robbery:

• A motorist was robbed at gunpoint along Main Reef Road in Anzac on Tuesday.

The victim was travelling from Benoni at around 3.45pm when he noticed the car behind him flashing its lights.

He recognised one of the car’s two occupants and pulled over.

The other car stopped and a man alighted the vehicle and approached the victim.

He pointed a gun at the victim and told him he was going to teach him a lesson.

The victim was robbed of his cellphone and a large sum of cash.

Burglary:

• Hewitt Avenue, Brakpan North.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: A TV, sound system, laptop, cash, jewellery and clothes.

• Prince George Avenue (business).

Two businesses were burgled in separate incidents on Tuesday.

Stolen: A bag containing documents, curtains and a bottle of wine.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Ford Ranger bakkie was stolen from Voortrekker Road on Tuesday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• Tyres and rims were stolen from a car parked at an address along Bertram Avenue in Brakpan North on Tuesday.

• On Tuesday, a car parked along Devon Street in Dalview was broken into and the sound system was stolen.

The mags were also taken.
