Hijacking:

• The driver of a red Toyota Conquest was hijacked by two hitchhikers along Hospital Road in Brakpan North.

The victim picked up the pair along Welgadacht Road in Springs at about 10pm last night (Monday) and agreed to take them to Kingsway in Benoni.

When they reached Hospital Road, however, the victim was told to stop.

One of the men got out of the car and pointed a gun at the victim, while the other assaulted him with a taser.

The victim was forced out of the car and the hijackers sped off.

Armed robbery:

• A man was robbed at knifepoint along Station Road on Sunday.

The victim stopped at an ATM to withdraw money at about 10.30pm when he was confronted by three knife-wielding men.

He was robbed of his cash, jewellery and cellphone.

• A taxi passenger was robbed of his cellphone and other valuables yesterday morning.

The incident took place along Hospital Road in Brakpan North at around 3am after the victim boarded a taxi, a white Toyota Venture, in Springs.

As they reached Hospital Road, the victim was threatened by one of the other passengers.

The man pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded his belongings.

The victim was then forced out of the taxi.

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue (business).

The break-in took place on Friday.

Stolen: Three laptops and a radio.

• Camelthorn Crescent, Dalpark.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, cellphone and jewellery.

• Bottlebrush Street, Dalpark.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: Jewellery and cash.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Volkswagen Golf was stolen from an address along Athlone Avenue in Dalview on Sunday.

Theft out of motor vehicle:

• On Saturday, a spare wheel, radio and tools were stolen from a car parked in Voortrekker Road.
