Business robbery:
• A man was shot in the stomach during a robbery at a workshop along Coert Steynberg Street in Van Eck Park during the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday).
Between five and seven robbers fled with two computers, a laptop and a TV.
Exact details surrounding the incident and the preceding events were not provided.
• A company in Fifth Road, Witpoort Estates, was robbed by a group of men yesterday morning.
Two security guards were confronted by the robbers, two of whom were armed with guns, on the premises at about 1.40am.
The victims were tied up with shoelaces and left in the guardroom.
After spending about 45 minutes inside the main building, the robbers fled over a wall and fired two shots.
The police report does not state what was stolen.
• A Voortrekker Road shop was robbed by three armed men last night.
The robbers entered the store just before 8pm and held the owner at gunpoint.
Cash, chocolates and cigarettes were stolen.

The victim was stationary at the traffic lights at about 6.45pm when a man hit the passenger side window with his elbow.
The window failed to break and the man hit it again with his hand, shattering the glass.
He grabbed the victim’s cellphone and charger and ran away.
