The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (November 21 to 22):

Cases reported:

• Residential burglary: 4
• Theft: 6

• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Theft from motor vehicle: 1
• Attempted business burglary: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Tampering/damaging infrastructure: 1
• Shoplifting: 1
• Common assault: 1

Arrests:

• Speeding: 3
• Possession of drugs: 2
• Shoplifting: 2
• Business robbery: 1
• Theft: 1

Burglary:

• Gladstone Avenue.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: A TV.

• Bedford Street.

The break-in took place yesterday (Tuesday), but the culprit/s were disturbed when the complainant arrived home.

Stolen: A laptop and some groceries were packed into a bag, but left behind. Some loose change was taken from the bedroom.

• Sabie Street, in Sallies Village.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: Two DVD players, a laptop and two cellphones.

• Lawrence Street, in Dalpark Extension 11.

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: A TV, laptop, cellphone, tablet and jewellery.

Attempted business burglary:

• An attempt was made to break into a business situated along Greer Street in Vulcania, on Monday.

The culprits broke the burglar bars on one of the windows, but nothing was stolen.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A car parked in Queen Avenue was broken into on Monday.

A portable hard drive device, GPS and a wallet containing bank cards, a driver’s licence and a few coins, were stolen.

• A CD player was stolen from a car parked at an address along Craigholm Street, in Dalview, on Monday.
