Business robbery:

The owner of a boarding house along Station Road was assaulted and robbed during the early hours of this morning (Friday).

The victim was awakened by a man and a woman, who wanted to rent a room, just after midnight.

As the victim was preparing a room for the couple, the man pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

The victim was struck with the firearm and taken to his own room, where a struggle ensued and three shots were fired.

The victim managed to overpower the man, but the woman attacked him and bit him on the leg.

He was forced to let go of the man, who then fled the scene.

The woman was unable to get away and she was handed over to police upon their arrival.

A large sum of cash was stolen.

Burglary:

• Pfuhl Street, in Brakpan North.

The home was burgled on Wednesday.

Stolen: A TV, microwave and a drill were stolen.

• Ian Coetzee Road, in Withok.

The burglary took place on Wednesday.

Stolen: A laptop.

• Rangeview Road, in Dalpark.

The break-in occurred on Saturday.

Stolen: A gas heater, 9kg gas bottle, chairs and doors.
