Business robbery

• Three men robbed a shop in Mall@Carnival yesterday (Tuesday).

The robbers entered the store at around 9.30am and threatened staff members at gunpoint.

They fled with cash, cellphones and tablets.

Hijacking:

• A cigarette delivery van was hijacked along Springs Road, in Vulcania, at around 6.30pm last night.

The driver and his passenger were forced to stop when a silver Audi overtook the van and stopped.

Four men alighted the Audi and approached the van.

Two of the men were armed with firearms and the driver was instructed to move over and keep his head down.

His passenger ran away.

Two hijackers climbed into the van and took off with the driver.

He was dropped off near an informal settlement, where he sought help.

A large sum of cash and cigarettes were in the van.

• Armed robbery:

A man was robbed at gunpoint along Waterval Road, in Leachville, last night.

The victim stopped at a tuck shop to buy cigarettes just before 9pm, when he was approached by three men who threatened him with a gun.

The robbers assaulted the victim and searched him, taking his cellphone.

They fled when the tuck shop owner confronted them.

• Robbery:

A pedestrian was robbed along Prince George Avenue on Monday night.

The victim was attacked by five men at around 9.30pm, who took his cellphone and cash.

Burglary:

• Van der Walt Street, in Dalview (vacant house).

The break-in was discovered on Sunday.

Stolen: Taps, light fittings and copper window fasteners.

• Bottlebrush Street, in Dalpark Extension Six.

The home was burgled on Friday.

Stolen: A TV and DVD player.

• Lukas Steyn Street, in Withok Estates.

The burglary took place yesterday.

Stolen: A speaker, tablet, gardening equipment and electric tools.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Fiat Uno was stolen from the corner of Victoria Avenue and Park Street, yesterday.

The car was stolen between 11.15am and 11.20am.

Theft from a motor vehicle:

• Tyres and rims were stolen from a car parked at an address along Hendrik Street, in Sunair Park, on Monday.

A dog on the property was poisoned.

• A battery was stolen from a vehicle parked at the corner of Park Street and Kingsway Avenue, on Sunday.
