The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (September 14 to 15):

Cases reported:

• Common assault: 2
• Fraud: 3
• Common robbery: 1
• Possession of suspected stolen property: 1
• Theft: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Business robbery: 1
• Residential burglary: 2
• Tampering/damaging infrastructure: 1
• Business robbery: 1

Arrests:

• Possession of stolen property: 3
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Tampering/damaging infrastructure: 1

Business robbery:

• A business in Fifteenth Street, Withok Estates, was robbed by two armed men yesterday morning.

The robbers walked into the premises at about 10am and held a staff member at gunpoint.

The robbers made off with cellphones, a watch and a bag.

• An unknown number of armed men robbed a business along Koot Street, in Withok Estates, this morning (Friday).

The robbers overpowered a group of security guards on the premises at around 1.40am and tied them up.

At the time of publishing, details of the stolen items had not been provided to police.

Burglary:

• Porter Avenue

The home was burgled yesterday.

Stolen: Perfume, cash and cosmetics.

• Shakespeare Street, Dalpark.

The home was broken into yesterday.

Stolen: Machinery.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Nissan bakkie was stolen yesterday at the corner of Park Street and Kitzinger Avenue.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A cellphone was stolen from a vehicle along the R23 (Heidelberg Road)  on Friday, last week.
