The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (September 11 to 12):

Cases reported:

• Theft: 6
• Business burglary: 1
• Possession of drugs: 2
• Theft from motor vehicle: 2
• Residential burglary: 1
• Reckless driving: 1
• Common assault: 2
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Business robbery: 1

Arrests:

• Rape: 1
• Theft: 1
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Theft out of motor vehicle: 1
• Malicious damage to property and assault: 1

Business robbery:

• An unknown number of men robbed a business along Seventh Road, in Witpoort Estates, this morning (Tuesday).

The robbers overpowered a group of security guards on the premises at around 1.10am.

They robbed the guards of their cellphones and tied them up.

Two offices on the property were broken into and three computers were stolen.

Burglary:

• Loerie Lane, in Anzac.

The home was burgled yesterday (Monday).

Stolen: Cash and a TV.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• Tyres and rims were stolen from a vehicle parked along Prince George Avenue, yesterday.

• A car parked at an address along Lester Road, in Brenthurst, was broken into, on Sunday.

A radio,  spare wheel, car jack and other items were stolen.

• A fire extinguisher was stolen from a bakkie parked along Kingsway Avenue, this morning.

A suspect was arrested.
