It’s our birthday and you can win big

The Herald is observing a momentous milestone this year and to kick off our birthday celebrations, this grand old dame of a newspaper is giving away two R1 500 shopping vouchers courtesy of Sherwood Pick n Pay.

There are two ways to win:

• Guess our age

The Herald has delivered news to the community without fail since its establishment almost a century ago.

How many years, exactly? Well, you tell us.

The correct answer will win you a R1 500 shopping voucher.

To enter, simply email your full name, age, address, contact number and answer to brakpanherald@caxton.co.za by no later than Tuesday, September 26, at 4pm.

• Keep your eyes peeled

We are placing one A3-sized notice into the September 22 edition of the Herald.

The notice will be manually inserted into one paper and serves to notify the reader that he or she has won a R1 500 shopping voucher.

Be sure to look through the paper thoroughly for the notice – it cannot be missed.

To claim your prize, you have to produce the notice by no later than Tuesday, September 26, at 4pm.

You will have to produce it at the Herald’s office situated at 61 Van der Walt Street, in Dalview.

• General rules

To win, you need to be a Brakpan resident and may not be related to any Caxton employee.

Proof of residence is required.

Winners will have to be willing to pose for a photograph, which will be published in the Herald and on its online platforms.

Should the prizewinning notice not be claimed, the competition will run for an additional week.

Liquor and/or cigarettes may not be purchased with the voucher.
