Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A car parked at an address along Collins Street, in Brenthurst, was broken into.

A radio, pair of sunglasses, jacket and a suitcase were stolen.

The vehicle’s wheels were also taken.

* A company in 20th Road, Denneoord, was burgled of a laptop and a toolbox.

* Burglars stole kitchen appliances, a TV, sound system, games console, two laptops and a computer from a home along Eric Holdtman Street, in Minnebron.

* A Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R (colour not provided) was stolen from Kingsway Avenue.

• Saturday – Dogs at a residence along Lester Road, in Brenthurst, were poisoned and the home was burgled of bedding, jewellery, a laptop, kettle, TV, games console and games.

• Sunday – Catering equipment, garden tools and tyres were stolen from an address along Silverbush Crescent, in Dalpark Extension Six.

The garage on the property was broken into.

Other cases:

• Wednesday – Tools were stolen during a break-in at a business along 17th Road, in Witpoort Estates.

Weekend arrests

The following arrests were made in Brakpan over the weekend:

• Possession of stolen motor vehicle: 3
• Possession of unlicensed firearm: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Theft: 3
• Drunk driving: 10
