The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 3 to 4):

Cases reported:

Arrests:

• Dealing and possession of drugs: 1

• Shoplifting: 1

Armed robbery:

• A man was robbed of cash on the premises of a company along Springs Road, in Denneoord, at about 2pm, yesterday (Thursday).

As he was walking from the parking lot to the office, the victim was threatened at gunpoint by three men, who demanded money.

The robbers took the man’s cash and fled in a white Volkswagen Polo.

Robbery:

A battery was stolen from a car parked along Muriel Brand Street, in Brenthurst, yesterday.

The man who stole the battery is known to the victim.

He approached the victim as she was getting into her car at around 2.30pm, telling her he needed to talk to her.

The woman opened the car window to speak to him, but the man suddenly grabbed her keys from the ignition and opened the car’s bonnet.

He then removed the battery and fled.

Burglary:

• Voortrekker Road (business).

The workshop was burgled on Wednesday.

Stolen: A laptop and tools.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A Nissan 1400 bakkie (colour not provided) was stolen from the corner of Wanderers Street and Voortrekker Road.

The car was stolen between 6.10pm and 6.15pm on Wednesday.

• A red Volkswagen Polo was stolen from Kingsway Avenue, on Wednesday.

Theft from motor vehicle:

• Batteries were stolen from two vehicles parked at an address along 20th Road, in Witpoort Estates.
