House robbery:

• Four cellphones were stolen during a house robbery at an address along Prins Street, in Withok Estates.

Six men broke into the house at about 2am yesterday (Wednesday) and held a woman and her family at gunpoint.

• A man and his sister were robbed in their home along Denne Road, in Witpoortjie, yesterday morning.

Five men gained access to the house just after midnight and threatened the siblings with a gun.

The robbers fled with jewellery, cellphones, cash and clothing.

Armed robbery:

• A security guard was robbed by two men in Maryvlei, yesterday.

The victim was on duty at an address along Lemmer Road, when the robbers confronted him in the guardroom at about 4.35am.

They fired a single gunshot and ordered the guard to lie on the ground.

The robbers searched the victim, robbing him of his cellphone and a set of keys.

Robbery:

• A female passenger was robbed of her cellphone, shoes and cash in a taxi, at about 7pm, on Tuesday.

Shortly after boarding the taxi – from Tsakane to Brakpan – the victim was assaulted by the only other passenger in the white Toyota Quantum.

The man punched the victim in the face and demanded her cellphone.

The taxi driver also hit the woman.

After taking her belongings, the pair dropped her off.

She sought help from a passerby, who took her to a petrol station in Brenthurst.

• Three women were robbed in a taxi by six men, last night.

The trio had boarded a taxi, a white Toyota Quantum, at the corner of Voortrekker Road and High Street at around 6.50pm.

As they travelled towards Dalview, the women were ordered to kneel down and were searched.

One of the women was hit and choked, and one of the men commented that the victims should all be shot and killed.

The women were let go in a veld in Minnebron.

They were robbed of cellphones, cash, handbags and other personal belongings.

Burglary:

• Prince George Avenue (business).

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Cash.

• Colliery Road, Sunair Park.

Two homes along this street were the target of burglars on Tuesday.

Stolen: A laptop, clothing and electrical appliances were stolen from one residence, while tekkies and jewellery were stolen from the other.

• Germains Avenue.

The property was broken into yesterday.

An attempt had been made to steal pipes and a geyser, and a suspect was arrested.

• Derby Avenue.

The home was burgled on Saturday.

Stolen: A bicycle and a fishing rod.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• A white Toyoto Etios was stolen from the VC SuperSpar parking lot, in Craigholm Street, Dalview.

The vehicle was taken between 9am and 11am, yesterday.
