Crime reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (July 10 to 11):

Arrests:

Armed robbery:

• A pedestrian was robbed of his 9mm pistol by two men, in Leachville.

The incident took place at around 6.20pm, on Sunday.

The victim was walking along New Kleinfontein Road en route to meet his wife at the Apex Train Station, when he was confronted by a man armed with a gun.

The gunman was joined by another man and the victim was instructed to raise his hands.

He was searched and robbed of his pistol, which was loaded with eight rounds.

The robbers then ran off.

Burglary:

• Joubert Street, in Brenthurst.

The home was burgled yesterday (Monday).

Stolen: Two TVs, a games console and jewellery.

Theft out of/from a motor vehicle:

• A car battery, two speakers and a jacket were stolen from a car parked along Leeu Avenue, in Leachville.

The theft occurred on Sunday.

• A car parked along Manganese Street, in Vulcania, was broken into and its radio stolen.

The break-in took place on Sunday.
