Hijacking:

• The driver of a truck (make and model not provided) was hijacked along Heidelberg Road, near Makro, yesterday (Wednesday).

The incident took place just before 1pm.

No further details about the incident were received.

Burglary:

• Voortrekker Road (business):

The property was burgled sometime between June 11 and yesterday.

Stolen: Copper pipes, water taps and a door.

• Verster Street, in Minnebron.

The burglary occurred yesterday.

Stolen: Curtains, a bar fridge, jewellery, a TV and a portable hard drive device.

• 21st Road, in Withok Estates.

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Clothes and an ID book.

• Austin Street, in Brenthurst.

The burglary took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: Shoes, a portable hard drive device and two remotes (type not stipulated).

Armed robbery:

A pedestrian was robbed of his cellphone, bank card, cash and other belongings while walking home in Denneoord, yesterday.

The man was walking along Springs Road at about 3am, when a white Audi Q7 pulled up alongside him and the man in the passenger seat asked the victim for directions to KwaThema.

Two of the occupants then climbed out of the car and pointed guns at the victim.

The victim was forced into the Audi, where he was searched and robbed of his possessions, which included a walkie-talkie and a reflective jacket.

The robbers then drove to a petrol station where they withdrew money from the victim’s bank account.

The victim was dropped off at a nearby housing complex.

Theft from a motor vehicle:

• Tyres were stolen from a truck parked at an address along Molecule Road, in Vulcania.

The tyres were stolen between 8pm last night and 3.45am this morning.
