Another body found near Ergo

An inquest docket has been opened and police are appealing to anyone with information, which may help the investigation, to come forward.

The decomposing body of a 34-year-old man was found near Ergo on Wednesday, last week.

An inquest docket has been opened and police are appealing to anyone with information, which may help the investigation, to come forward.

According to Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan SAPS, the body was found in a veld next to the bridge in Mkhankwa Village.

The cause of death is not known, but van Staad confirmed that the body has been identified by family members.

This follows the discovery of two bodies in an open veld in the same area on March 2.

These victims, believed to be in their 30s, were each stabbed multiple times.

Prior to this, on January 31, the body of a 55-year-old woman was found in a veld near Mkhankwa Village.
