Brakpan residents can expect their refuse to be collected only over the weekend.
This is according to Clr Stefanie Ueckermann, DA councillor for Ward 105 in Brakpan.
“It has come to my attention that the solid waste in some areas of Brakpan has not been collected due to the trucks being broken,” said Ueckermann.
“They have only one truck for the whole of Brakpan.”
Ueckermann told the Herald that a solid waste team from Benoni will assist in Brakpan over the weekend.
