The clean-up operation of the oil-engulfed property in Joule Street, Labore, is progressing with good results.
The Herald reported in our April 22 edition how the property, where crude oil and oilseed cake was once manufactured, was covered in oil.

The sludge had also flooded the surrounding area, affecting neighbouring businesses.
A recent visit to the site by the Herald revealed a remarkable difference, with little oil in sight.
The difference is clearly seen in these before and after shots, with the latest photograph (top) showing the results of the clean-up (water on the ground, and not oil, is visible).
