Children and adults took to the streets of the Brakpan CBD on Friday morning, last week, in protest against substance abuse.
The march, which was organised by the Brakpan SAPS, was attended by pupils from several local schools and representatives from various local organisations and government departments.
Also in attendance were former substance abusers from the Witpoort Treatment Centre.
The event also served to introduce the Brakpan Local Drug Action Committee to the community.
The march was followed by a morning of informative and motivational talks, and entertainment.
