Battle for Jhb Mayoral chain: Parks vs Mashaba
Election fever has hit the city and it's no wonder that Joburgers are eager to find out who will be their next mayor.
With local elections around the corner, many are pondering which party will get their vote. Some South African municipalities are well-run and some poorly managed. Issues of concern include service delivery and maintenance of roads and public spaces.
JoburgToday.tv spent some time with both mayoral candidates to find out who they are and their plans for the city.
Over the past five years, the City of Johannesburg has been run by Parks Tau and his counsel. He has introduced the Youth Empowerment programme which has partnered with 250 companies in the hopes of alleviating unemployment in the city.
