Fire and Emergency Services Learnership students appointed in January have made great strides in their studies so far.
They have completed most of the modules and have only three modules remaining before they embark on experiential learning at different fire stations around the City of Ekurhuleni.
“All of them are expected to be able to provide risk-based primary emergency care as an advanced first responder in the workplace,” said William Ntladi, district manager of media liaison for Ekurhuleni Emergency Services.
“They can also engage in fire safety and public education activities, perform support operations at fire incidents and even perform fire ground operations necessary to ensure life safety, fire control and property conservation under supervision. ”
The modules are as per different unit standards and NQF levels respectively.
The students will be deployed to fire stations before their final graduation.
