Burglars hit two businesses over the weekend

Break-ins were reported at businesses along Goods Road and Queen Avenue.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:

• Friday – A Dalpark Extension Five family were held up and robbed in their Suurklapper Avenue home.

Two burglaries were reported.

These took place at addresses along Bentley Place, in Kenleaf, and on Voortrekker Road.

A television set, a laptop, a gate motor, tools and jewellery were among the items reported as stolen.

• Saturday – Two cars were stolen.

A white Hyundai H100 was taken from the corner of Prince George Avenue and Hastings Avenue, and a white Toyota Conquest was stolen from the Sherwood Shopping Centre.

Four burglaries took place.

Homes situated along Tembuland Street, in Leachville, Witpoortjie Road, in Rand Collieries, and Nash Crescent and Van Schoor Street, in Brakpan North, were burgled of various household items.

These include television sets and jewellery.

A gas heater was stolen from a business situated along Queen Avenue.

A break-in was reported at a business along Goods Road, where machinery and other items were stolen.

• Sunday – A home along Derby Avenue was burgled of two cellphones.

A radio was stolen from a car parked along Stoffberg Avenue.
