The man, who owned several properties in the Brakpan and Springs areas, was killed in his home along Field Street, on Monday evening, last week.
He was shot once in the head (read more here).
According to information received from police, two women, aged 29 and 55, were arrested on Saturday.
The younger of the two women faces a murder charge, while the other was arrested for being an accomplice.
The women’s identities are known to the Herald, but they may not be named until they have pleaded in court.
Police also found the murder weapon and three live rounds of ammunition.
The pair appeared in the Brakpan Magistrates Court today, and the case was postponed to April 28.
They remain in custody.
