Brakpan police have warned of an increase in residential burglaries in the Brenthurst, Dalpark Six and Brakpan North areas.
Local police have pleaded with residents of these areas to be cautious and to ensure their homes are properly protected.
Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander, told the Herald that a white Audi has been spotted at the scene of several of the burglaries in Dalpark Six.
He also revealed that the occupants of a new shape, silver Ford Ranger bakkie might be linked to the incidents in Brenthurst.
“The bakkie has no registration number and has been reported in the area during the day,” he said.
Joubert urged residents who see these vehicles or any suspicious-looking people or activities to immediately contact the police.
