A 25-year-old man who was caught breaking into a house in Anzac earlier this year was sentenced to three years imprisonment on Thursday, last week.
Dumesane Khumalo was arrested by members of the Brakpan SAPS after a housebreaking was reported on August 26.
The incident occurred at a residence in Free Street, Anzac.
When members of the police arrived on the scene, they found a man on the premises with a bag containing circuit boards for computers, as well as cables in his possession.
After further investigation it was found that the house had been broken into by Khumalo and he was arrested.
He was found guilty of housebreaking and theft in the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court and was also found unfit to possess a firearm.
