Pre-sentencing in the Jasmin-Lee case should start today

Pre-sentencing proceedings are expected to get underway today (Tuesday) in the Jasmin-Lee Pretorius case.

Four-year-old Jasmin-Lee’s uncle, Sarel du Toit, pleaded guilty yesterday on charges of rape and murder.

He raped and suffocated Pretorius on December 28, 2013.

The state is pushing for a life sentence.
