Flower Show is a delight

Visitors to the The Girl Pieterse Flower Club’s annual Flower Show were in for a treat on Saturday morning.

The judges were (from left): Hannie Strydom, Mara Scholtz and Gloria Bosch.

The show was held in the hall of the Brakpan Catholic Church and the display of flower arrangements left visitors blown away.

Professional judges had a hard time selecting the winners in the three different categories.

The winners were:

Listen to the Ocean: Hilary Neill (first), Caren Rowe (second) and Louise Oosthuizen (third).
Clear Cut: Maureen Avis (first), Caren Rowe (second) and Helen Blackstock (third).
Inspirational Foliage: Helen Blackstock (first and second), Maureen Avis (third).

Hilary Neill won the Listen to the Ocean category with a stunning flower arrangement.

Helen Blackstock came third in the Clear Cut section and took first and second places in the Inspirational Foliage section.

Maureen Avis won the Clear Cut section with an outstanding white and black arrangement. She was also third in the Inspirational Foliage section.
