Weekend crime round-up

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan Police over the weekend (July 24, 25 and 26):

Friday

In Prince George Avenue a vehicle was broken into and a bag containing two computer tablets and other items was stolen.

A house robbery occurred in Jansen Street, Sherwood Gardens, at 11.20am. A laptop, TV set and jewellery were stolen.

A robbery took place in Hendrik Potgieter Street, Dalview. A woman was waiting in her vehicle for a gate to open, when a robber appeared with a gun. Cash and jewellery were stolen.

Two housebreakings occurred. One in Wordsworth Street, Dalpark, and the second one in Carmyllie Street, Dalview. A TV set, DVD player, a computer, cooking pots, two microwaves, and other kitchen appliances were stolen.

Saturday

A vehicle, parked in Van Dyk Road, Kenleaf, was stolen.

Two businesses situated in Station Road were broken into and a computer, airtime, cash, cigarettes, a microwave, cellphones, computer tablets, car radios and other electrical appliances were stolen.

Sunday

A man selling DVD’s on the corner of Prince George Avenue and Muir Avenue was robbed of all his DVD’s.
